Step-by-Step: How to Single Crochet
Step 1: Insert your hook
Insert your hook into the next stitch (under the top loops of the chain or previous row).
Step 2: Yarn over
Wrap the yarn over your hook.

Pull the yarn back through the stitch.
You should now have 2 loops on your hook.
Step 4: Yarn over again
Wrap the yarn over your hook one more time.
Step 5: Pull through both loops
Pull the yarn through both loops on your hook.
Step 6: You did it!
You’ve just completed your first single crochet.
That’s one single crochet stitch!
Step 7: Repeat
